Assist in planning, organizing and implementing diabetes care plan under the guidance of endocrinologist and other healthcare professionals. Train patients in the correct use of prescribed therapies to successfully manage their current disease state.

Possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs. Communicates regularly with other healthcare professionals involved in patient care. Records pertinent information of patient's diet, current nutritional status, recommendations and plan of care in the medical record for physician and other healthcare professional's information.
