Job Description:

  • Coordinate and execute end-to-end client onboarding and account opening processes in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements, including KYC, AML, FATCA and CRS.
  • Manage onboarding cases from initiation through account activation, ensuring all required documents, approvals and client information are complete, accurate and properly recorded in internal systems.
  • Review and validate client profiles, account structures, legal documentation, tax forms and client classifications to ensure compliance with internal standards and applicable regulations.
  • Liaise closely with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Sales, Operations and other relevant stakeholders to resolve documentation gaps, obtain approvals and drive timely completion of onboarding requirements.
  • Work with client-facing teams and, where required, directly with clients to clarify requirements, provide onboarding status updates and expedite account setup within agreed timelines.
  • Act as a key contact point for onboarding-related queries, escalations and issue resolution, ensuring a high standard of service and clear communication throughout the process
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure all onboarding documentation, approvals and audit trails are properly filed and retrievable in accordance with internal control standards.
  • Track onboarding progress against agreed service levels, identify bottlenecks or risks to completion, and escalate issues promptly to support efficient case turnaround.
  • Support ongoing review, optimization and standardization of onboarding procedures, controls and workflows to improve straight-through processing, reduce operational and compliance risk, and strengthen the overall client onboarding experience.

Qualifications:

  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in client onboarding, account opening, KYC, AML or client service operations within a bank, securities firm or financial institution.
  • Good understanding of onboarding and regulatory requirements, including KYC, AML, FATCA, CRS and client documentation standards.
  • Familiarity with different client types and account structures, including individuals, corporates and institutional clients.
  • Strong attention to detail, control mindset and ability to manage multiple onboarding cases under tight deadlines.
