We are seeking a talented individual to join Marsh Risk Business Development Team. This role will be based in Shanghai.

We will count on you to:

  • Support and collaborate closely with sales leader to drive strategic growth initiatives and business expansion efforts.
  • Lead and coordinate in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify high-potential business opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee the development and management of client lead pipelines, guiding the sales teams in acquiring and nurturing potential clients through research, relationship building, and targeted outreach.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among internal teams and external stakeholders, assisting senior colleagues in understanding market dynamics, client needs, and in crafting complex, high-impact proposals.
  • Foster and maintain strong professional relationships with key clients, promoting new products and cross-selling opportunities to deepen market penetration and enhance client satisfaction.

What you need to have: 

  • At least ten years of insurance broker or insurance sales experience.
  • Experience with large clients or large-scale projects in the P&C insurance sector is highly desirable.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong experience in developing strategic sales materials and proposals aligned with industry risk characteristics and company best practices.
