
Assembly Fabricator
Job Description
Aerometals is looking to add the following position:
Assembly Fabricator
Pay range: $21 - $25 hourly
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm & Friday 7:00am - 12:00pm
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to:
- Install units, parts, equipment, and components.
- Bolt, screw, and/or rivet accessories to fasten, support, or hang components and subassemblies.
- Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners as required.
- Cut, trim, and file parts while verifying fitting tolerances to prepare for installation.
- Perform layout, fabrication, and installation of parts, equipment, or fabricated items.
- Apply sealants, adhesives, resins, and solvents per customer specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing equipment as required.
- Use fractions, decimals, and mathematical formulas to solve dimensional problems.
- Verify conformance of finished work pieces to specifications using measuring tools.
- Read, interpret, and follow the travelers, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Identify product defects and communicate errors to appropriate personnel.
- Identify tooling requirements and make tooling as needed.
- Bag and tag finished products.
- Understand applicable manufacturing standards and documentation requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Skills:
- Mechanically inclined with good manual dexterity.
- Ability to understand drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Experience: 6 months of transferable skills.
Training: On the job training.
