Financial Analyst

Job Summary:
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial data and creating financial models for decision support. The role involves preparing forecasts, analyzing trends, and providing recommendations to improve financial performance and business processes. We are open to candidates across the US, preferably near one of our US offices (eg: Dallas, Chicago, Miami, Western PA, Chino, CA).

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, including variance analysis and trend analysis.
• Perform financial analysis on business performance, identifying areas for improvement.
• Provide recommendations to management for strategic decision-making.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights on financial trends.
• Utilize and develop various operational and financial data sources to inform analyses.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Collaborate with various departments to develop business understanding for analyses.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations and industry trends.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial modeling (Pivot Tables, Lookup functions, etc.).
• Proficiency with financial software and ERP systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial analysis techniques.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field, required.
• At least three years of related experience in financial analysis or a similar role.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
