Position Scope
Provides cultural information through demonstrations and lectures, and teaches songs, dances, crafts, games and cultural phrases to guests.
Learns how to create, maintain and/or do repairs of moderate difficulty on cultural artifacts, buildings, and props using a variety of equipment and materials.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the manager.
Required Qualifications
Good health and have a voice that can endure up to four hours of speaking in any given time frame
Capable of moving freely among the guests and be capable of full range body movement.
Able to communicate in English.
Know the basics of playing the ukulele.
Look Polynesian.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledgeable about the culture being represented.
Able to speak the language of the culture being represented.
Must attach resume and current semester class schedule (weekly view)
Base Rate Per Hour
$16.00
Work Schedule
19 hours, (TBD)
All applicants must be available for an on-site interview at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, HI.
Approximate starting hourly rate:
$14.00 - $16.00
The wage offered could be above or below range based on education and experience as it relates to the job description.
