Business Title:
- Senior Quality Engineer
Job Purpose:
- To lead and execute quality engineering initiatives, ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle at ASP GLOBAL LLC. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement test strategies, perform various testing activities, and drive continuous improvement in quality processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various software applications, covering functional, performance, security, and usability testing.
- Collaborate with development, product, and business teams to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria.
- Perform various testing activities, including manual testing, automated testing, and exploratory testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
- Implement and maintain test automation frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Analyze test results, generate test reports, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on code quality and testability.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality processes and best practices within the organization.
- Mentor and guide junior quality engineers in testing methodologies and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest testing trends, tools, and technologies.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Experience with various testing methodologies, including black-box, white-box, and gray-box testing.
- Experience in developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Experience with defect tracking systems and reporting tools.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance processes.
- Proficiency in testing web applications, mobile applications, and APIs.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with automation testing tools is a plus.
- Experience with performance testing and security testing is a plus.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases is a plus.
