Role Overview
The Low Voltage Technician, as part of the Field Operations team, plays a crucial role in Zentro’s success by supporting our Broadband Technicians as they service both residential and commercial customers through installations, troubleshooting and more. As a member of the Leadership team, the Broadband Technician is responsible for the development and success of their team.

Role Overview
The Low Voltage Technician, as part of the Field Operations team, plays a crucial role in Zentro’s success by supporting our Broadband Technicians as they service both residential and commercial customers through installations, troubleshooting and more. As a member of the Leadership team, the Broadband Technician is responsible for the development and success of their team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze and troubleshoot basic technical problems or issues
- Ability to build out closets and dress bundles of cables in closet.
- Reviews, interpret and work with various cut sheets, drawings, blueprints and testing documents
- Accurately test copper cables to required certification
- Physically install Cat3, Cat 5, Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Cat 6A Structured Cable Distribution Systems
- Installation of outlets, pulling cable, fire stopping and pre-termination including organizing, forming, dressing and labeling cables to industry standards
- Arrange maintenance sessions to discover and mend inefficiencies
- Keep records of repairs and fixes for future reference
- Terminate, assemble and install 8-pin modular connectors and coaxial connectors
- Test, diagnose and correct copper problems
- Maintain and reference industry standards including ANSI,EIA/TIA and local and Low Voltage Code
- Determine closet and equipment layouts and install closet hardware including backboards, connecting blocks, racks and patch panels
- Ability to work respectively with others and work independently
- Ability to climb and work at elevations from (ladders, poles, lift trucks) exceeding 18 feet
- Ability to work in confined spaces (attics, crawl spaces, utility holes)
- Hourly rate of $23-26/hour depending on experience and skillset
