
Content Growth Platform Lead, Creator Partnerships
Job Description
We're seeking an experienced business development executive to build and manage platform relationships and expertise in support of our creators’ content. This role will own the strategy and execution of content distribution across priority services – YouTube/Apple/Spotify/Amazon – to maximize audience reach, engagement, and monetization for our creator partners. Today, those creator shows include New Heights (Jason and Travis Kelce), The Oprah Podcast (Oprah Winfrey), Mind The Game (LeBron James and Steve Nash), Baby, This Is Keke Palmer (Keke Palmer), Armchair Expert (Dax Shepard), and more. The role will focus on increasing the reach and monetization of our content by identifying, establishing, and growing 3P distribution opportunities across the ad-supported business. You'll be responsible for owning how we distribute and optimize creator content on your designated platforms, building in-house platform expertise and external relationships, and developing scalable workflows that drive growth. This role reports to the Content Growth Lead and must be located in New York City or Los Angeles.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive content distribution strategies across YouTube, Amazon, and RSS services to maximize reach, engagement, and monetization of Wondery creators’ content
- Build specialized in-house expertise for each service, including deep understanding of algorithms, audience behaviors, and technical specifications.
- Cultivate relationships with distribution services, negotiate platform partnerships, and represent Amazon Creator Services in all platform partner meetings, conferences, and events.
- Develop and share platform-specific best practices and guidance that help our creator partners grow their audiences to achieve monetization goals
- Build with AI to find opportunities for automation, optimization, and workflow improvements.
- Partner closely with Creator Ad Partnerships to ensure distribution strategies support monetization goals and scale ad/sponsorship opportunities.
- Develop distribution approaches that optimize for high-value inventory and premium sponsorship opportunities.
- Build analytics capabilities to measure content performance, identify growth opportunities, and translate data into insights and actionable strategies that drive revenue growth.

- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of professional or military experience
- 6+ years of experience owning end-to-end content distribution strategy across ad-supported digital platforms (YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, or equivalent), including algorithm optimization, audience segmentation, and monetization levers
- 6+ years of experience developing, negotiating, and executing platform partnerships and distribution agreements that deliver measurable revenue and audience growth outcomes
- Experience building scalable distribution workflows and operational frameworks that maximize reach, engagement, and ad/sponsorship inventory value across multiple platforms simultaneously
- Experience leveraging platform-specific analytics (e.g., YouTube Studio, Spotify for Podcasters, Apple Podcasts Connect) to identify growth opportunities, diagnose performance gaps, and translate data into executive-level strategic recommendations
- Experience establishing and managing external platform relationships at the partner or account manager level, including representing an organization in partner meetings, conferences, and industry events
- Experience developing and codifying platform best practices—including technical specifications, content formatting standards, and publishing cadences—that enable cross-functional teams to execute at scale
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- 7+ years of experience managing content performance and optimization across multiple ad-supported distribution platforms simultaneously
- Experience building AI-driven automation or workflow tools to improve content operations at scale
- Experience cultivating and managing strategic relationships with platform partners (YouTube, Spotify, Apple, Amazon) at the account or partner manager level
- Track record of growing audience reach and revenue for premium creator or media content through data-driven distribution strategies
- Experience developing platform-specific best practices, including deep knowledge of algorithms, audience behaviors, and technical specifications
- Experience partnering with ad sales or sponsorship teams to align distribution strategies with monetization and high-value inventory goals

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
