We are looking for mechanical engineers to strengthen our team. We are hiring both Mechanical Engineers and Senior Mechanical Engineers, depending on your background and experience.
You will work across our product lifecycle. Depending on your role, this can include maintaining and improving existing products, designing new features, or working in new product development projects. You will be designing systems, sub-systems and components for our cryogen-free dilution refrigerators.

Your main responsibilities as Mechanical Engineer:
As a Mechanical Engineer, you take ownership of your own design tasks and drive them to completion. You work hands-on with 3D CAD and create production-ready drawings for machined, welded and sheet metal parts.
You are energetic and proactive. You take responsibility and move things forward. You understand when the solution is good enough and ready, instead of polishing details endlessly.
Your main responsibilities as Senior Mechanical Engineer:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you take a leading role in projects. You coordinate and guide the mechanical design work and support other engineers in their work.
You are comfortable working under pressure and able to keep things moving even when there are multiple priorities. You work with different stakeholders and help keep alignment across teams. Previous experience in a lead role or mentoring others is a clear advantage.
What we expect from you (for all candidates)
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
3+ years of experience
Experience with 3D CAD and technical drawings
Experience in R&D and/or productization projects in a manufacturing environment
Understanding of manufacturing methods
Ability to take designs from concept to production
Good communication skills in English
You bring energy to the team and have a proactive way of working
What we expect for Senior role
8+ years of experience in mechanical design
Several years of experience in guiding or mentoring other engineers in lead-engineer type role
Ability to lead and coordinate mechanical engineering work in projects
Ownership of key technical decisions in projects (structures, materials, component selections)
Responsible for progress and quality of mechanical design work in assigned projects
Act as a go-to person in your area and support other engineers in their work
We also appreciate
Experience with Creo
Experience with PDM systems such as Windchill
Experience of designing piping, creating P&IDs and dimensioning systems to control gas flows
Capability to build and assemble prototypes hands-on
Practical machining, welding or other production process experience
Experience in strength or thermal simulation
