Day Shift, Local CDL A Hazmat Truck Driver in Fairview, ND. Home Every Night | Local Routes
$27 to $30 an hour
$7,500 Retention bonus available
Full-Time
Schedule:
5 on 2 off or 6 on 1 off
12 hour shifts 5am to 5pm

What You’ll Be Doing
Conduct comprehensive pre and post-shift vehicle and equipment inspections, and take appropriate action on encountered problems
Sample, test, and purchase crude oil using onboard equipment at designated locations.
Load and unload crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs).
Ensure accurate documentation, product integrity, and regulatory compliance during all operations.
Utilize any on-board computer terminals to accurately record locations visited and products handled and ensure any additional paperwork is complete, neat, and legible
Report incidents (operational and/or safety-related), as instructed, in a timely manner
Contain and report any spill according to the established Occurrence Reporting procedures
Take an active role in our safety program, including attendance at all safety meetings and ensuring safe behaviors of self and subordinates
Transport additional chemical products as assigned.
Haul oilfield tubulars on flatbed trailers, ensuring proper load securement and regulatory compliance.
Job Requirements
Class A CDL with hazardous materials and tanker endorsements preferred
1+ year of CDL Experience, preferably in an oilfield environment
A commitment to work without an occurrence; no spills, no injuries and no property damage
Can successfully pass Savage’s road test, which will include a proper pre- and post-trip inspection of the vehicle
Comfortable working in an oilfield environment, including climbing ladders and stairs to the top of tanks, and working around flammable gases and other toxic fumes
Must be willing to work days/nights/holidays
High School Diploma/GED
Physical Requirements
Climb into and out of the cab multiple times per shift
Apply snow chains to tires
Climb ladders and work at heights when needed
Lift 50+ pounds occasionally
Work and drive in adverse weather conditions
