LEAD DESIGN ENGINEER - Mechanical Product Design (M/F/D)

Lead Mechanical Product Design Engineer Key Skill Sets Strong mechanical design fundamentals including plastics, sheet metal, castings, and assemblies. Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, engineering drawings, GD T, and tolerance analysis. Experience in product development from concept, design, validation, to production launch. Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles. Ability to select materials and manufacturing processes based on performance, cost, and reliability requirements. Experience with engineering validation, testing, failure analysis, and problem-solving methodologies. Understanding of quality tools such as DFMEA, risk assessment, and change management processes. Strong cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and customers. Project leadership skills including planning, technical decision-making, and mentoring team members. Effective communication and presentation skills for technical reviews, customer interactions, and management reporting.
