HVAC Estimator
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Estimator to join our growing team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for HVAC projects, collaborating with internal teams, and supporting the successful bidding and execution of commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of HVAC estimating experience, including design-build project experience, and a strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical construction.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare detailed and accurate HVAC project cost estimates for commercial and industrial work
· Review project specifications, drawings, and bid documents to determine scope and requirements
· Develop take-offs and pricing for HVAC systems including equipment, materials, and labor
· Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to develop competitive bids
· Participate in design-build project development including conceptual estimating and value engineering
· Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
· Identify potential risks, cost savings opportunities, and scope gaps during the bidding process
· Maintain accurate estimating records and documentation
· Support project handoff to operations after contract award
Required Experience
· Minimum 5 years of HVAC estimating experience
· Experience with design-build projects
· Experience with Plan spec take off
· Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including:
- Sheet Metal Systems
- Piping Systems
- Boilers
- Chillers
- Cooling Towers
- VRF Systems
- Rooftop Units (RTUs)
Qualifications
· Strong understanding of commercial and industrial HVAC systems
· Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
· Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
· Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office
· Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
