Job Description
- Design and produce computer-generated and freehand graphic images/layouts for various mediums, including print materials, web content, and multimedia applications.
- Collaborate with USCG personnel to create visually engaging assets that enhance mission execution, such as training visuals, promotional materials, or digital interfaces.
- Maintain and update graphic elements for consistency across platforms, ensuring compatibility with tools like Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Adhere to USCG and DHS policies, including fire/safety protocols, security procedures, and protection of Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) information.
- Work with the Project Manager to deliver timely, accurate graphics that meet 100% completeness standards, with root cause analysis for any issues.
- Identify as a contractor in communications and support team coordination for integrated media services.
- U.S. citizen or legal resident with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance and Common Access Card (CAC).
- Technical expertise in graphic design tools and software, with experience producing layouts for print, web, and multimedia.
- Minimum education and experience as specified in the PWS labor category (e.g., capable of efficient, reliable, professional performance in graphic support).
- Ability to work 0700–1600 EST, Monday–Friday, excluding federal holidays, with a focus on creative problem-solving under deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform with minimal government oversight.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator) and integration with web/SharePoint tools.
- Experience in USCG or federal graphic design projects, such as recruiting materials (e.g., similar to GoCoastGuard.com visuals).
- Portfolio demonstrating diverse mediums and high-impact designs, with metrics like user engagement or project success.
- Familiarity with DHS security protocols for media handling and annual privacy training.
