Metric Engineering is looking for a capable, motivated project manager to help shape vibrant, resilient places across Florida.  In this dynamic role, you'll take the lead and support others on meaningful public and private sector projects - brining creativity technical expertise, and a strong understanding of codes, permitting processes, and construction practices to every project. If you thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy solving complex site challenges, and are excited by the flexibility of a remote position, while still working cooperatively with others, this opportunity offers the chance to make a real impact on communities statewide.  Occasional statewide travel may be needed to visit job sites, clients, attend company meetings, etc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support projects from concept to construction documents and into post design services.
  • Manage all aspects of a project from working with clients to developing conceptual designs and graphics, construction documents, invoicing and construction observation.
  • Apply your technical expertise to create landscape designs that address client needs, respond thoughtfully to site‑specific conditions, meet all permitting requirements, and result in buildable, maintainable solutions.
  • Prepare plans, details, and graphics using AutoCAD, Land F/X, and Photoshop.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support RFIs, submittals, and site observations.
  • Advise and provide support to other staff.

Required Qualifications:
  • Accredited degree or qualifying experience under a licensed Landscape Architect.
  • 10+ years of experience with Florida projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Land F/X, Microsoft Office, Photoshop.
  • Ability to interpret and apply municipal codes to projects.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Presentation skills
  • Ability to problem solve, adapt to client needs, and work independently as well as cooperatively.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Lumion and InDesign.
  • Familiarity with FDOT landscape architecture projects.
  • Irrigation design
  • Landscape Architecture license is not required, ability to obtain one is a plus.
