Job Description
Position Overview
Starting Hourly Rate: $25.23/hr + $1.50/hr shift premium
Hours: 2:30pm – 11:00pm, Monday – Friday (Overtime as production demands)
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will help with setup, pack offal products to target weight, move skids of product in and out of the freezer, and ensure proper safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
Responsibilities
• Be able to perform and rotate through several job functions in the department at line speed
• Comply with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), USDA regulations and safety rules at all times
• Ensure products are accurately weighed, packaged, and labeled (products include ribs, loins, livers, hearts, tongues, etc.)
• Always verify and record temperatures to ensure superb quality
• Package and palletize product in accordance with established specifications
• Utilize a PIV to move and stage pallets
• Learn and excel in all positions within the room, to facilitate teamwork and cross-training
• Utilize SAP for material movements
Experience
• Knife Skills preferred but not required
• SAP knowledge preferred but not required
• Food Manufacturing experience, a plus
Skills
• Excellent attendance and performance record
• Ability to prioritize work in relation to process flow
• Ability to communicate effectively with the team and work towards an end goal without direct supervision
• Proactive team player, dependable and detail oriented
Physical Demands:
• Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up 50 lbs, and hand grip up to 60 lbs on a regular basis
• Walking and/or Standing throughout the shift
• Bending and/or Reaching throughout the shift
• Ability/Willingness to work in cold conditions
Other Requirements
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to pass a pre-employment, post offer drug screen, physical and background check
