Job Description
ND Defense LLC is seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to support our engineering team. This role offers hands-on exposure to defense manufacturing processes, data analysis, and commercial tools that drive business development. The intern will contribute meaningfully to active projects while developing practical skills in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. This position is supervised by the Systems Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Support
- Assist engineering team members with design, documentation, and project coordination tasks
- Support development and maintenance of engineering documentation, BOMs, and technical specifications
- Participate in design reviews, process improvement initiatives, and cross-functional project teams
- Conduct research and compile data to inform engineering decisions
HubSpot CRM – Reports, Dashboards & Sales Enablement
- Build and maintain HubSpot reports and dashboards to support sales and business development activities, including the Combination Usage Report
- Develop and maintain ND Defense Sales Sheets:
- Create professional, accurate sales sheets for current product and service offerings
- Analyze combination usage data to identify and recommend standard offering configurations that should be formalized into sales materials
- Collaborate with engineering and sales stakeholders to ensure sales content reflects current capabilities and technical accuracy
- Assist in tracking and organizing customer-facing materials within HubSpot
General & Administrative
- Attend and contribute to team meetings; document action items and follow-ups as assigned
- Support special projects at the direction of the engineering manager or senior leadership
- Maintain organized records and project files in accordance with company standards
Qualifications
- Recent graduate or Senior Year Student of a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with HubSpot or other CRM platforms a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate technical content for non-technical audiences
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in defense, manufacturing, or government contracting industries preferred
