Job Description


Position Overview:

A Host or Hostess greets customers as they enter the restaurant. They are responsible for taking reservations or putting them on a wait list, give guests menus and show them to their seat. Hostess/Hosts may also handle phone calls and customer inquiries about the restaurant and the menu. They may also assist other restaurant staff when necessary.

This role is a key associate, responsible for ensuring the organization’s prosperity from the perspective of associate experience/journey. With exposure to all aspects of the business, the role will grow concurrently with the company.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Greet guests and customers with a smile
  • Take reservations and put guests on a wait list if needed
  • Give guests menus and show them to their seat
  • Handle phone calls and customer inquiries about the restaurant and menu
  • Assist other restaurant staff when necessary
  • Light cleaning when needed

Job Requirements:

  • Responsible and hard working
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills needed
  • Endurance including prolonged standing, some bending, walking long distances, and stretching.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds as needed

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED or one (1) year equivalent experience
  • Have basic knowledge of the restaurant menu
