The Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa is a Polynesian-themed destination located on the shores of Mission Bay and mere steps from San Diego's famous Pacific Beach. The resort features 310 rooms and suites, lush tropical gardens, and award-winning dining at Oceana Coastal Kitchen.

SUMMARY
The Room Attendant ("Recamarero/a") performs routine duties in cleaning and servicing guest rooms and bathrooms under the supervision of the housekeeping supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Clean and service guest rooms and bathrooms according to established housekeeping standards and procedures.
- Present a positive and professional image of the property by demonstrating courtesy, honesty, and friendliness always.
- Proactively engage with guests, responding promptly and professionally to requests or concerns.
- Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation in all assigned guest rooms.
- Replenish in-room amenities and supplies to ensure guest comfort.
- Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or damaged items promptly to the supervisor.
- Maintain linen rooms and housekeeping carts in a clean, organized, and orderly condition.
- Accurately document room status and linen usage on assigned worksheets or systems.
- Perform scheduled deep-cleaning tasks and special cleaning assignments as directed.
- Handle special guest cleaning requests efficiently and with a service-focused attitude.
- Ensure all lost-and-found items are turned in immediately in accordance with hotel policy.
- Follow all safety, security, and sanitation standards and procedures.
- Ensure guestroom access is limited to registered guests only.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to service excellence.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 1 year of relevant experience and/or training.
- Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred.
- Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
- Able to complete digital checklists, reports, and status updates efficiently.
- Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.
- Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
- The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
