As Resident Engine Field Service Representative (T700/T6E1) you will perform services and maintenance activities (preventive and remedial) on customers' site/property (2nd Reggimento di Sostegno AVES Orione – Bologna) in order to repair and refurbish sold or existing products. You will also maintenance facilities and field services engineering and you will follow discipline and standard functional practices and procedures.
We are looking for a technician with a proven experience on engine maintenance. You will provide the Customer with a high-level technical assistance regarding the operation of the power plant.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage, as primary interface, any concerns and technical evidences arising from maintenance activities on engines at Customer

  • Lead and ensure the effective exchange of information between the Customer and Avio Aero, in particular with the System Engineer, Program Manager and Fleet Manager, concerning the management of the T700/T6E1 engine program

  • Liaise with Customer operational department to ensure timely and effective response to technical issues

  • With the support of the System Engineer, you will be accountable for problem identification and possible solutions to support the Army in the decision whether to remove an engine from service, after evaluating all possible troubleshooting operations in order to solve the problem "on-field”

  • Manage the support and arrangement of shipping and receiving of engines, accessories and engine parts to and from Company sites

  • Ensure monitoring, recording and updating of the availability and the status of the engine fleet

  • Be accountable to support the Customer in planning the maintenance inspections

  • Lead the support the Customer on interpretation and application of technical publications and Service Bulletins/PTAs (Prescrizione Tecnica Apllicativa), advice on engine operability, assistance in solving the problems that may arise during training, maintenance or operational activities

  • Support the Customer on PTAs embodiment, updating of the engine configuration related to the activities accomplished at the Organizational and Intermediate Maintenance Levels

  • Liaise with the Fleet Manager on the availability of engine parts and accessories at the customer warehouse, to support the Organizational and Intermediate Maintenance Levels activity at the 2nd Reggimento di Sostegno AVES Orione and Depot Maintenance Level at the Avio Avio Plant

  • Support the Customer in updating the technical documentation (Engine Logbook, Accessories Log Card, PTAs, Compliance Status, etc.)

  • Ensure support on the management and use of the engine Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) as prescribed by the applicable Technical Publications

  • Manage, coordinate and arrange any Avio Aero technical intervention for schedule and unscheduled maintenance activities

  • Liaise with the Customer in coordination with Avio Aero the service data collection for engine and life limited parts

  • Autonomously executes, as necessary, maintenance operations tasks and makes evaluations of the collected results iaw technical manual

  • Act as a Certifying Staff related to engine maintenance activities

  • Manage, coordinate and arrange any Avio Aero technical intervention at the 2nd Reggimento di Sostegno AVES Orione and other Customer premises , or other national locations (e.g. Leonardo Helicopters facilities) for schedule and unschedule maintenance activities

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or a Technical High School Diploma with previous solid experience in similar role

  • Thorough knowledge of T700 family engines, Accessories, installations, control and monitoring systems as well as interfaces with airframe

  • Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical scheme of complex equipment

  • Knowledge of configuration control rules, processes and procedures

  • Knowledge of Engine Logbook for consultation and analysis of Engine and Engine Parts data.ì

  • Ability to read and understand Nomenclature Catalogues, engine Technical Publications, regulations and applicable procedures (maintenance manuals, parts catalog, calibration procedures) as well as Change Proposal, Technical disposition and Repair Schemes/Instruction

  • Ability to evaluate area of improvement of existing maintenance procedures

  • Fluent Italian and English

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong Customer mindset

  • Strong MS Office knowledge

  • Eligible for NATO Security Clearance

  • Holder of EMAR 66 / AER(EP).P-66 MILITARY AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE LICENCE (B1/C) or EASA equivalent

  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
