Job Summary
Responsible for Revenue integrity analytics prior and post billing, including but not limited to, charge description master (CDM) maintenance, centralized charge control, pre-bill edits, appropriate revenue and reimbursement, and denial prevention. Manages and monitors the results, data analysis and root cause issue and assists departments with corrective action plans. Responsible for building collaborative relationships with MSLC leadership and other key stakeholders (HAMS, billing, HIMS, IT, Charge champion and supply chain). Motivates and challenges clinical charge champions to achieve the highest levels of performance, working in conjunction with all key stakeholders to prevent revenue deficits and maximize potential revenue for the region. Responsible for contract management applications including but not limited to variance monitoring, cash collection opportunities and revenue integrity compliance.
Qualifications
- BA Required or BS Required
- 1-3 years Minimum of 3 years of recent patient billing experience. Required
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
- Extensive knowledge of billing and medical terminology.
- Demonstrates strong financial aptitude.
- Must be detail orientated and have excellent follow-through skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Extensive understanding of correct coding principles of CPT/HCSPCS and modifier selection as well as CCI edits and billing guidelines.
- RHIA, RHIT, CHRI, CPC/COC, CPC-H, or other coding credentials Preferred
