The successful candidate will perform Nuclear Criticality Safety (NCS) evaluations to define the safety basis for operation of new or changing facilitates, equipment, or processes involving uranium bearing materials.
They will execute computer models to evaluate normal operations and process upsets relative to NRC License limits and requirements.
They will be responsible for evaluating accident sequences and designating Items Relied on For Safety to prevent a criticality accident from occurring.
The individual will also perform routine surveillance, inspections, and audits of areas where licensed material is used or stored to ensure compliance with NRC License requirements.
They will provide operational areas with specific NCS input and oversight as necessary.
