This role supports the promotion of BYU–Hawaii Admissions programs, events, and initiatives while assisting prospective students throughout the admissions process. It offers valuable hands-on experience for students interested in marketing, communications, and public relations within a dynamic and multicultural university environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Communications & Marketing
- Social Media Management (40%)
Manage and monitor BYU–Hawaii Admission’s social media accounts. Responsibilities include scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and analyzing performance and engagement data to improve outreach and effectiveness. Ensure brand consistency by following established BYU–Hawaii design guidelines and applying them across all social media content and digital communications.
- Content & Digital Marketing (30%)
Develop and manage engaging content to support admissions initiatives and events across digital platforms, including social media, websites, and newsletters. Responsibilities include content creation, designing graphics, and producing multimedia content, as well as creating promotional materials for admissions events.
Admission Support
- Customer Service (20%)
- Provide support to prospective students and families via phone and email throughout the admissions process, ensuring a timely, responsive, and informative experience.
- Admissions Ambassador (10%)
- Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students. Provide guidance throughout the admissions process, respond to inquiries, and support outreach efforts to prospective student audiences.
Education
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
Lower division courses in Marketing, Communications or Graphic Design completed
Work Experience
3 -6 Months of Directly Relevant Experience
