Work Experience Description:

Suitable for students with basic foundational knowledge and little to no practical experience, ideal for freshmen or sophomores who have completed only introductory courses.

Receive and disburse money. May use electronic scanners, cash registers, or related equipment. May process credit or debit card transactions and validate checks.

Primary Responsibilities

• Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.

• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.

• Assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints.

• Establish or identify prices of goods, services or admission, and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers, or optical price scanners.

• Restocks and straightens merchandise and keeps the work area neat and clean

• Performs other duties as assigned.
