OVERVIEW
This position is in the Office of External Affairs, Office of Visitor and Guest Services (OVGS).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome groups at primary entrances and outdoor areas, explain entry procedures, provide orientation, share information about museum offerings, and lead group tours including accessibility tours.
- Fulfill group timed-entry pass requests via phone and e-mail.
- Use online ticketing software and fulfill passes via email or by printing paper timed-entry passes.
- Contact requestors by phone and e-mail to clarify requests, select alternate dates or respond to inquiries regarding the status of a specific request.
- Distribute inquiries that arrive via the NMAAHCgroups resource account.
- Run weekly and ad hoc reports through the ticketing system on group visitation.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
In addition to the above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Ability to use automated systems and/or Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to communicate orally.
- Ability to communicate in writing.
- Knowledge of ticketing systems.
- Ability to lead tours including welcoming groups, explaining entry procedures, providing orientation and sharing information.
