About The Budd Group Culture Blurb
The Budd Group is a premier facilities services company, delivering high-quality janitorial, landscaping, and maintenance solutions across the Southeast. Operating as a family-owned, God-honoring company, we are dedicated to helping our employees grow through meaningful work, comprehensive training, and clear pathways for career advancement.
What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities
As our Landscape Account Manager, you will step onto a massive, premier 1,200-acre commercial manufacturing facility and take complete operational ownership. In this dynamic, high-impact role, you will act as a hands-on commercial landscape manager, driving exceptional quality control, executing contract fulfillment, and ensuring absolute client satisfaction across the property.
Lead & Scale Operations: Initially oversee and hold accountable 9 subcontract personnel; eventually build infrastructure and hire a brand-new 5-to-6-person internal site crew. Supervise, train, and conduct performance reviews for field personnel.
Zone Management & Field Execution: Strategically break down a 300+ active acre property (turf, parking lots, ponds) into highly organized operational zones. Coordinate daily schedules, assign crews, manage tool/supply inventories, and review Quality Control Reports.
Quality Assurance & Safety: Act as the primary landscape operations manager on-site, conducting routine inspections to identify details (weeds, turf health, pests) and diagnose basic equipment maintenance needs. Track employee attendance and enforce safety regulations.
Client Relations & Enhancements: Meet regularly with site stakeholders to ensure work orders are completed efficiently. Proactively identify, propose, and oversee profitable site enhancement opportunities to drive personal and branch sales goals.
What You Bring To The Team / Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of a 2-year degree or 3+ years of progressive supervisory experience in the commercial landscape maintenance field.
Operational Mindset: Highly organized with a "working manager" approach—comfortable operating heavy equipment (spraying, bushhogging) alongside the crew when necessary and troubleshooting basic machinery.
Communication & Tech Skills: Solid verbal and written communication skills to deliver professional client updates, write simple correspondence, and utilize a company phone/laptop.
Licenses: Must possess a valid Driver's License with a driving record that meets company standards. A valid NC Pesticide License is highly preferred (or willingness to operate under our branch license).
Physical Stamina: Able to work outdoors in changing weather conditions, stand/walk for extended periods, and regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds (and occasionally up to 100 pounds).
Reliability: Complete schedule flexibility to ensure a sharp 6:00 AM arrival to open the shop and launch crews successfully.
Why Work For The Budd Group
The Tools to Succeed: Move seamlessly and stay connected with a company-provided take-home vehicle, phone, and laptop.
Uncapped Earning Potential: Enjoy a competitive base salary plus a 1% incentive commission on site enhancement projects to propel your career forward.
True Infrastructure Growth: Be the blueprint leader for a brand-new facility staffing model backed by our established Greensboro regional branch team.
