The Role

We are currently hiring for a Senior Operational Excellence Consultant in our London office to lead the delivery of operational excellence initiatives across Underwriting Operations, driving efficiency, performance improvement and strategic optimisation across core processes.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Lead operational excellence initiatives: Deliver end-to-end continuous improvement activity across underwriting operations, embedding structured methodologies to enhance efficiency and performance.

Analyse data and identify opportunities: Review operational data to spot trends, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities, turning insight into measurable business outcomes.

Collaborate across teams: Partner with underwriting operations, business change and data teams to prioritise and deliver strategic and technology-driven improvements.

Strengthen governance and controls: Develop and maintain control frameworks and reporting oversight, ensuring effective monitoring and alignment with regulatory requirements.

Support operational strategy and planning: Contribute to resource modelling, performance insight and the ongoing development of reporting capabilities to support decision-making.

What We’re Looking For:

Insurance operations expertise: Proven experience within underwriting operations, with a strong track record of driving process optimisation and operational excellence initiatives.

Operational excellence knowledge: Deep understanding of Lean, Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence methodologies and their practical application.

Stakeholder management: Strong ability to influence, challenge and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation.

Analytical capability: Highly developed problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.

Regulatory awareness: Good understanding of insurance regulatory frameworks, governance standards and market practices.
