Your new role:

This role serves as an operational hub and key lynchpin for the HBO and HBO Max Communications department, overseeing the coordination and dissemination of assets including pre-air screeners, press materials and other miscellaneous comms across internal employees, journalists and other various stakeholders.

This role streamlines information and content workflows, supports cross-functional collaboration, and enables the department to execute strategically and in full alignment.

The position reports to the Director, Content Distribution and oversees Coordinator, Publicity Services. The role has a dotted line into the Vice President, Streaming Communications.

Your Role Accountabilities:

Content Distribution Support

·       Manage asset delivery workflows, coordinating with Media Relations, Post-Production, and our studios to prep pre-release press screeners

·       Create and distribute screener links via email blasts to internal teams, press, and talent

·       QC press files, assigning proper disclaimers and metadata

·       Manage distribution lists

·       Assist press contacts with screeners access and escalate tech issues to the Support and Product teams

·       Facilitate file deliveries to both internal and external teams through company approved platforms

·       Follow and enforce content security protocols

Press Release/Asset Distribution

·       Create and manage editorial strategy for press release distribution, including keeping of press release calendar and keeping relevant stakeholders informed

·       Prep and send press announcements and asset blasts

·       Draft monthly “What’s New on HBO Max” press release and manage approvals

·       Maintain pressroom and press screeners websites, updating assets and managing user accounts

Operational Functions

·       Act as central point person for the department for tasks including: aggregating editorial award/list submission opportunities for talent, shows, and programming executives, coordinating executive photoshoots, and more

·       Manage daily internal press clipping distributions

·       Liaise with clipping service and journalist database contacts

Qualifications & Experience:

·       A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, film/tv production, or a related field preferred

·       5 years of experience working in communications, public relations, media management, or post production preferred

·       Must have experience in project management

·       Familiarity with video and image file formats (ProRes, H264, PNG, JPG) and aspect ratios (1.78, 2.0, etc.)

·       Passionate about audiovisual technology and the entertainment industry

·       Must possess strong communication skills, be extremely detail oriented, and able to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $80,500.00 - $149,500.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
