JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Casino Partnerships leads channel sales initiatives across the Americas, driving sustainable and profitable growth through casino partnerships and Independent Representatives. This role is responsible for designing and executing integrated sales and marketing strategies that increase brand visibility, deepen partner relationships, and unlock new revenue opportunities. By positioning Norwegian Cruise Line as the preferred cruise brand among casino operators and their targeted player base, the role drives higher engagement, bookings, and guest loyalty.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead strategic initiatives across casino partnerships to drive increased engagement, event activation, and revenue growth.
- Oversee and optimize partner budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and strong return on investment aligned with business goals.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of business development efforts, providing data-driven insights and reporting to guide decision-making.
- Represent the brand at key industry events, partner meetings, and trade shows to enhance visibility and strengthen relationships.
- Cultivate and expand high-value partnerships through customized, property-specific strategies that maximize long-term profitability.
- Act as the primary liaison for partners, proactively addressing needs and resolving issues through cross-functional collaboration.
- Direct the execution of certificate events, promotions, group sailings, and onboard experiences to ensure seamless delivery and guest satisfaction.
- Manage the Casino Group Coordinator function, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in logistics, bookings, and reservations.
- Design and implement promotional initiatives, providing partners with tools and strategies to drive performance while upholding brand standards.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and brand guidelines, maintaining current knowledge across products and programs.
- Collaborate closely with the Vice President, Casino Business Development, and key stakeholders to achieve revenue and strategic objectives.
- Drive the growth of casino and Independent Representative channels by building partnerships, generating demand, and overseeing program performance.
- Support additional business-related initiatives and responsibilities as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree
FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Finance, Marketing, or a related field
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in sales and/or marketing, preferably within the casino, gaming, or travel industries.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation, review, and execution.
- Strong understanding of cross-functional business disciplines, including gaming operations, customer development, financial planning and analysis, and marketing strategy.
COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (One Note, Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with Salesforce and internal systems such as Seaware/Seaweb preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build credibility through strong product knowledge, consistent follow-through, and effective problem resolution.
- Advanced negotiation, presentation, and influencing skills with a track record of successfully implementing partnership agreements.
- Strategic and creative thinker with the ability to develop compelling value propositions and build a strong personal and brand presence in the market.
- Highly adaptable, with the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven sales environment.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external partners.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a focus on driving measurable results.
- Customer-centric mindset with a proven ability to build, maintain, and grow long-term business relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage partner interactions and resolve complex issues.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the role, including transporting marketing materials (up to 30 lbs) and standing for extended periods during events and onboard activities, with reasonable accommodation.
