JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Print Marketing Specialist serves as the primary liaison between the Brand Marketing team and Print Vendor to ensure all print projects are executed on time, within budget, and to brand quality standards. The Senior Print Marketing Specialist oversees all reporting related to print and budget management, processes end-of-month accruals, and ensures invoices are completed accurately and on schedule. This role plays a key part in strengthening the partnership between Marketing and the Print Vendor, supporting the planning, development, and execution of high-volume direct-to-consumer mail campaigns aimed at driving customer acquisition and retention across the U.S., Canada and abroad.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the Brand team to understand campaign requirements and initiate the quoting process with the Print Vendor, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
- Meet weekly with the Print Vendor’s estimating and production teams to review project timelines, specifications, and budget accuracy.
- Track project updates, including changes in quantity, versioning, or specifications, and ensure timely delivery of artwork and data.
- Evaluate print proposals for accuracy, specifications, and costs, and ensure alignment with Brand CPP benchmarks and budget expectations.
- Review color proofs and printed samples to verify print quality and consistency across campaigns.
- Proactively identify and recommend alternative print formats, processes, or materials to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
- Manage Domestic and International Postage accounts, ensuring proper funding and reconciliation.
- Monitor paper usage, track inventory, and coordinate credit requests when necessary.
- Prepare and maintain end-of-month reports on print, paper, and postage spending.
- Oversee the full invoicing process including invoices, system entry, coding to correct GL accounts, and routing to appropriate approvers.
- Collaborate with Finance on monthly accruals and reconciliation.
- Perform other job-relation functions as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree
FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 years of marketing experience in consumer direct response (preferably direct mail) for a consumer brand. Experience within the travel or cruise industry is preferred but not required.
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS
- In-depth knowledge of direct mail and print production processes, including creative development and execution.
- Proficiency in Excel with the ability to perform reporting and budget analysis.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills to manage budgets and evaluate vendor proposals.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities; able to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to find creative, cost-effective solutions under technical or logistical constraints.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
- Works well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
