Summary: The Fabricator will use various fabricating processes to build equipment to support plant operations.
Job Responsibilities: The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned and required
Maintain and repair customer’s shipping baskets and records all damaged containers Fabricate improvement ideas to aid production efficiency and safety Demonstrate proper welding knowledge in MIG, ARC, T.I.G. and Plasma cutting as well as the use of power tools Provide creative solutions to projects Follows and supports Montezuma Manufacturing’s and Magna’s operating principles Support efforts to achieve department and plant goals on Employee Opinion Survey
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous applicable work experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have some OSHA knowledge (safety requirements.)
- Skills in MIG, ARC, and TIG welding and plasma cutting
- Ability to safely use hand tools and other powered equipment
- Ability to think creatively and apply those concepts
- Problem solving skills
Environmental Conditions: General factory environment
Physical Demands: Involves physical activity and may occasionally require strenuous activity. Involves frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs often combined with bending, twisting and reaching
