Role Overview
Blue Projects is seeking an experienced Mechanical Systems Manager for an upcoming project in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The role is responsible for the overall coordination, installation, integration, and performance of mechanical systems within the project scope, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, schedule, and budget requirements.
• 1 year contract with prolongation.
• Work based at the project site office.
Job Description
• Lead and manage all mechanical systems activities, including planning, design coordination, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Work closely with engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely procurement, delivery, and installation of mechanical equipment and systems.
• Prepare and implement mechanical systems plans, schedules, and budgets in coordination with project stakeholders.
• Track installation progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and cost targets.
• Perform regular inspections and quality checks to confirm correct installation and functionality of HVAC, piping, and utility systems.
• Coordinate effectively with project team members, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of mechanical works.
• Oversee site safety and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental regulations, and company policies related to mechanical systems activities.
• Lead, guide, and support the mechanical systems team to promote collaboration, accountability, and productivity.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in a Mechanical Systems Manager or similar role, ideally within industrial construction projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including HVAC, piping, utilities design, and installation.
• Understanding of applicable codes, standards, and regulations governing mechanical systems in industrial environments.
• Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making abilities.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.
• Fluency in English and Russian; knowledge of Kazakh is considered an advantage.
