Job Description
Job Summary
The job holder has to ensure a smooth and efficient stable operation is maintained by performing functions like horse training and care, staff management (where applicable), raceday operations and general administration of the stables duties. The job holder will supervise track work activities and to attend emergency duties where needed. He / She will also act as a vital bridge between the Stables Management and the Stables Staff to ensure effective communication is established.
Major Tasks
- Staff Management (whereas applicable):
- Prepare staff roster in accordance with operational requirements
- Allocate jobs to subordinates fairly and efficiently
- Supervise staff performance
- Coach and provide training to subordinates
- Maintain the highest standard of staff discipline
- Horse Care:
- Monitor the health and hygienic condition of the horse regularly.
- Report abnormality to Veterinary Surgeon or Trainer.
- Maintain true and accurate medication record of each horse.
