The Job
Reporting to the Head of Mainland China IT, the Executive Manager, Mainland China IT Operations and Service Delivery is responsible for the end-to-end IT infrastructure operations and service management for Mainland China. This role is accountable for ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of enterprise IT services across China, aligning with the Club’s IT infrastructure strategy, operational standards, and policies.
The Executive Manager, Mainland China IT Operations and Service Delivery will lead a unified, location-agnostic, pan-China IT operations team, ensuring seamless IT service delivery and operational excellence through key functional areas:
- Business Relationship Management - acting as the primary IT service face-to local business units managing requirements, escalations and compliance to local regulations.
- Operations and Service Management – Oversee IT service quality and operational performance. Ensure adherence to SLA commitments and continuously improve service reliability and efficiency.
- Field Services – Lead the on-ground IT support teams, ensuring effective end-user support, local network management, server and storage support, and server room operations. Align closely with central IT teams in Hong Kong to maintain unified service standards and minimize business disruptions.
- Project & Change Management – Oversee the planning, execution, and governance of IT infrastructure projects and change requests in China, ensuring timely delivery and strategic alignment.
- Cloud Operations – Oversee operations of Public cloud infrastructure to ensure stable system operations align to central IT cloud teams providing unified platform services.
About You
- University degree Computer Science or related discipline. Masters degree preferred
- Possess more than 20 Years of experience in IT infrastructure operations, service management, and performance monitoring within a large enterprise environment.
- Proven track record in leading IT service delivery, operations management, and field services across multiple locations.
- Experience in managing IT infrastructure projects, including planning, execution, and governance.
- Hands-on experience with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT) and best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
- Experience working with multinational teams and driving IT operations in a geographically dispersed environment.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure, including networking, servers, storage, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with China-specific regulatory requirements, particularly in areas related to data privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance.
- Experience in vendor and service provider management, with a strong understanding of outsourcing models, SLAs, and contract negotiations.
- Experienced in business planning, budgeting and financial forecasting for IT organisations.
- Fluency in the written and spoken English and Mandarin
- Deep expertise in IT infrastructure technologies
- Strong understanding of IT service management (ITSM) frameworks.
- Proficiency in IT operations automation and monitoring tools, such as Splunk, ServiceNow, and SolarWinds.
