Job Description
The Plant Cost Accountant is responsible for driving improvement and changes to the business; processing monthly and year-end closings; producing financial statements; recommending business process improvements based on reviewed performance; bank reconciliations; general ledger entries, job costing, account reconciliations; supporting general accounting duties for the manufacturer divisions, compiling reports (as required by management); analysis of the financials; driving increased information flow with real time reporting implementation; and working closely with all levels of management, employees, customers, external auditors, and vendors. The position partners closely with plant operations and corporate finance to improve cost visibility and drive continuous improvement.
