Police Explorer Scout - Volunteer

JOB DESCRIPTION: Police Explorers will work closely with Police Service employees to learn about the field of law enforcement. In addition, police Explorers will assist Police Services and the City of Fort Collins community with special events, community engagement, and projects/tasks. LOCATION: Varies – locations throughout the community mostly at Fort Collins Police Services PRIMARY ACTIVITIES: Learn and complete training on different aspects of the law enforcement profession. Participate in ride-alongs and sit-alongs with officers, dispatchers, and other Police Services employees. Assist Police Services with special events. Provide building tours of Fort Collins Police Services. Provide delivery of council meeting packets to City of Fort Collins Council Members. Train, prepare, and participate in annual Explorer conferences, competing against other Explorer Posts.
