Electricians play a critical role in supporting our Underground Mining Operations, delivering essential maintenance and fault-finding across underground equipment and infrastructure to keep production moving safely and efficiently.
With approvals in place to operate through to 2044, we offer genuine long-term career opportunities at a well-established, long-life underground coal mine, ideal for tradespeople seeking stability close to home.
We currently have a position available on our midweek backshift roster in development, offered on a local or DIDO basis (own accommodation required after up to 12 weeks initial camp accommodation). Relocation assistance may be available for candidates looking to move to the Narrabri region.
What You’ll Do
Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance on underground mining equipment and systems
Maintain plant availability through inspections, fault finding, diagnosis and remedial actions
Identify and report defects, updating maintenance and production logs accurately
Complete planned and routine maintenance in line with schedules and statutory requirements
Contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability
What You’ll Bring
Australian recognised Electrical Trade Qualification
Experience working in an underground coal mine or a strong background as an industrial electrician (e.g. fixed plant, processing plants, sugar mills or heavy industry)
Exposure to mining or heavy industrial equipment highly regarded
Ability to work rotating shifts (day, afternoon and night)
Ability to meet clean-shaven requirements in line with underground coal mining respiratory safety standards
