About the Role:
Experienced Occupational Health Professional with leadership abilities and extensive experience in delivering health services to workers. The professional assesses, plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates care, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements within the parameters of professional licensure

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Responsibilities include providing onsite occupational health services in Coventry, remote support for California sites and acquisitions, and managing return-to-work cases for U.S. employees on non-work-related medical leave.
- Manage medical surveillance programs ensuring compliance with medical monitoring programs, receiving and evaluating medical documentation for work clearance, and effectively communicating potential work-related occupational health exposures, while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Provide strong case management for workers’ compensation claims, maintaining effective communication with the employee, supervisor, 3rd party insurance company, and health care providers.
- Be a highly visible, working with EH&S, employees, management on occupational related injury/illness prevention, ergonomics, and continuous improvement of site safety and health programs.
- Maintain thorough and accurate recordkeeping of all work-related injuries/illnesses (OSHA logs) and submit required documentation to appropriate government entities.
- Collaborate with, 3rd party short term/long term disability vendor, employee, department supervisors, managers, LOA(Leave of Absence) specialist, and if necessary, HR/Legal to promote the early return-to-work program through evaluation of medical restrictions and job accommodation.
- Remote office ergonomic assessments
- Manages the medical records of employees in a confidential manner to comply with appropriate government regulations. Document in Corty BSC EMR
- As needed, respond to onsite medical emergencies and emergencies and take on a leadership role in the Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT)
- Support Total Worker Health through the coordination and delivery of health and wellness programs and act as a professional health resource for the organization’s management in planning and maintaining initiatives and programs.
- Coordinate outside vendors for annual first aid training, CPR/AED training, first aid kit supply, etc. and manage relationship with Occupational Health Clinic

- Identifies qualifications and expectations for and monitors and evaluates outcomes and quality of services delivered by health care providers and vendors in the treatment and rehabilitation network.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Motivated self-starter who can work independently to initiate, lead, and maintain site wide programs.

Required Qualifications:
- Currently holds an active compact nursing license in state of Rhode Island
- Current CPR/AED certification
- 5 or more years Occupational Health Experience
- Experienced managing medical surveillance programs
- Experience with electronic medical record system
- Experience workers compensation case management
- Basic knowledge of safety, toxicology and epidemiology
- Experience with OSHA recordkeeping standard and maintaining OSHA log
- Experience office ergonomics
- Excellent communication skills
