Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Product Manager – Digital Retail Experience to own the data strategy for Circle K’s in‑store and forecourt digital ecosystem:

  • Checkout & Ordering: Data from Circle K’s Digital Advertising & Upsell (LIFT) Platform, Self-Check-out machines, and ordering kiosk/menu boards

  • Digital Display: Metrics and reporting for ad walls and EMCs (Electronic Message Centers)

  • Forecourt: Experimentation across pump screens and carwash interfaces drive traffic, loyalty, and incremental revenue

  • Made to Order: Food and beverages that are prepared on the spot based on customer preferences

Key Responsibilities

Roadmap & Strategy

  • Lead and develop a high performing team of Data Product Specialists

  • Partner with the Group Product Manager to define and evolve the data products that power metrics, experimentation, and insights - driving customer engagement, loyalty growth, and monetization on a global scale.

  • Translate business and product needs into scalable data solutions, including metric definitions, data models, and self-service analytics products.

Data Integration & Engineering Partnership

  • Collaborate with technology partners and vendors to ingest, manage, and operationalize external data feeds.

  • Partner closely with Data Engineering to onboard data into the Circle K data platform, resolve data quality issues, and deliver reliable, production ready data products.

Analytics & Insights Enablement

  • Work with Performance Analytics to deliver certified datasets for leadership dashboards and ad hoc analysis.

  • Partner with product managers to ensure data availability and quality for priority business questions.

  • Drive data product adoption through enablement guides, demos, FAQs, feedback loops, and change communications.

Governance, Quality & Compliance

  • Operationalize data governance, privacy, and security standards.

  • Maintain data catalog, definitions, and lineage documentation to support discovery and trust.

  • Define and enforce data contracts, SLAs, and schema change processes with source system owners.

Skills Required

  • Team leader who is responsive to evolving business needs.

  • Analytical thinker who balances creativity with pragmatism.

  • Excellent communicator in English, able to translate complex concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Customer-obsessed problem solver who collaborates across geographies and levels.

  • Curious lifelong learner with a passion for retail, loyalty programs and emerging analytics techniques.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Data Science, or related analytical field.

  • 7+ years of experience across one or more areas: data engineering, data analytics, or data architecture.

  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL, analytical and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI), and cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake.

  • Strong awareness of data governance frameworks and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
