Job Description:
This job is responsible for complex financial activities involving the consolidation of the bank's month-end close, planning, forecasting and capital processes. Key responsibilities include performing forecasting, profitability analysis, financial reporting, and trend analysis using advanced modeling /software skills and assisting with ad hoc requests. Job expectations include working with key planning and analysis partners on small projects, research, and evaluations of financial performance while maintaining Operational Excellence and a controls discipline.
You will help shape how Global Banking performs under baseline and stressed economic environments—translating complex scenario dynamics into clear, decision‑ready insights for senior leaders and regulators. In this role, you’ll connect macroeconomic drivers, business strategy, and product/LOB performance to tell the story behind the numbers, challenge key assumptions, and elevate the quality of management reporting, forecasting, stress testing, and recovery/resolution. Success requires strong judgment, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to influence partners across Finance, Risk, Treasury, and the Line of Business.

Global Corporate and Investment Banking, Global Markets and International Finance is a valued business partner to the company's trading, corporate and institutional banking businesses. Our first priority is to operate a series of key control processes to ensure the integrity of Global Banking and Global Market’s financial results. Global Banking Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for the centralized management reporting, including earnings reviews and forecasting, and supports financial reviews with our Executive Leaders in the Business and CFO. It also directs the forecasting, stress testing and recovery/resolution planning financial activities.
In particular, the Global Banking Stress Testing and Recovery and Resolution Planning team (GB EST/RRP), is responsible for analyzing, summarizing, and reporting revenue, expense and balance sheet impacts for baseline and various economic scenarios for the Global Banking businesses for submission to the FED, OCC and Senior Management. This could include the analysis and reporting of financial and strategic impacts resulting from resolution and recovery actions for submission to regulators and Senior Management.
GB EST/RRP works with Line of Business, Business Finance, Corporate Treasury, Central EST & RRP Offices, and Risk leaders throughout GBAM to review and analyze the financial and business impacts. This unique team provides exposure to businesses and financial drivers across the segment’s products/businesses and collaboration with leaders across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Participate and/or lead review and challenge of baseline and stress forecasts/budgets, synthesizing drivers and variances versus plan, prior period, and prior forecasts to inform decisions
Own end‑to‑end financial storylines for LOB and consolidated views—building materials that are crisp, executive‑ready, and regulator‑appropriate
Design and enhance dashboards, reporting packs, and ad hoc analyses using Microsoft Office, EPM tools, and emerging analytics/automation capabilities
Partner across Finance to ensure data integrity, strong controls, and consistent methodologies—raising the quality and reliability of deliverables
Drive process simplification and automation of recurring reporting/forecasting routines to improve speed, transparency, and capacity for strategic work
Apply structured problem‑solving and strong attention to detail to deliver high‑stakes analyses on tight timelines while managing multiple priorities
Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities aligned to management and regulatory expectations
Strengthen documentation and the internal control environment for forecasting (baseline and stress), management reporting, and regulatory reporting
Serve as Single Process Inventory delegate for multiple processes, supporting governance, controls, and audit readiness
Develop, enhance, and govern multiple forecast models—owning key assumptions, controls, documentation, and partner alignment
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, forecasting, economics, or a related analytical finance role
Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel and PowerPoint); experience with SAP/eLedger tools and working knowledge of general ledger concepts
Demonstrated analytical rigor and critical thinking, with the ability to lead or facilitate discussions across stakeholders at multiple levels
Self‑starter with intellectual curiosity and a learning mindset—able to quickly ramp up on new businesses, processes, and data sets
Clear, concise communicator (written and verbal) who can translate complex analysis for executive audiences
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines
