Job Description
Job Definition (Key Purpose of the Job) :
This position build seasonal buying plans for ANZ DTC channel to support DTC financial target. Collaborate closely with merchandising to ensure the buy delivers the merchandiser’s assortment strategy. This position partners with Regional Merchant Team, Local TNF ANZ sales team and TA Planning team, linking the buy strategy with product strategy and market demand to ensure the buy plan is supportive to deliver the financial target
Key Result Areas :
The ANZ Buyer is responsible for:
Pre-Season:
- Demand Forecasting: Execute demand forecasts by style and color across GTM milestones and forecast rounds, improving accuracy through end-to-end forecast management
- OTB Planning Alignment: Align with the TA Planning team on DTC seasonal LLT and SLT Open-to-Buy (OTB), including sales projections and inventory assumptions
- DTC Assortment Planning: Partner closely with Merchandising to ensure the buy reflects assortment strategy, while evaluating alignment with growth and SCO efficiency goals
- Buy Decisions: Take full ownership of DTC buy planning, independently generating buy quantities for 800–1000 SKUs per season across all categories and territories, aligned with OTB budget, sales targets, and inventory (sell-through) goals
- Take ownership of early buys and main buys; actively participate in consensus meetings for top-up and drop decisions
- Optimize DTC channel size curves developed by the TA Planning team and provide recommendations for adjustments
- Consolidate DTC and wholesale orders and ensure accurate system uploads
- Demand & Supply Matching: Align launch plans (CRD) with Merchandising and manage product delivery phasing to ensure alignment with demand, seasonality, and balanced inventory
In-Season:
- Support in-season sell-through management by identifying what is working/not working, and provide actionable insights to optimize sales and mitigate risks
- Support Tableau daily sales tracking and target upload processes
- Partner closely with TA Planning on markdown, promotion, and exit decisions, ensuring profitability while maintaining premium marketplace execution
- Collaborate closely with TA Planning and APAC inventory management Team on inventory management, including free-to-sell inventory tracking, rolling inventory reviews, and participation in clearance plans to achieve ANZ year-end inventory targets
Experience
- Knowledge and intuition of outdoor, TNF brand
- Retail and product expertise in the key markets: ANZ
- Working knowledge of a P&L
- Strong understanding of consumer needs
- Ability to identify retail apparel trends
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent presentation, communication and influencing skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration with cross functional teams
- Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of employees – both senior and junior
- Flexibility to adapt to the changing trends of the business requirements

Academic Qualifications
Minimum Degree Held: Bachelor
Minimum 3-5 years or above in retail industry
