PermanentWhat you'll be doing:
In this role, you will ensure Avon’s statutory and tax activities in Poland are delivered accurately, on time, and in line with both local regulations and global standards. You’ll take ownership of key reporting processes, working closely with the tax team, finance leaders, and external partners to maintain high-quality financial reporting. You’ll play an important role in giving confidence to senior stakeholders by ensuring all statutory filings, tax returns, and financial statements are compliant and reliable, while continuously improving processes and strengthening controls.Key responsibilities:
- Leading statutory and tax reporting processes for the Poland market.
- Preparing and reviewing monthly tax reports, accruals, and submissions.
- Managing the relationship between statutory and IFRS reporting and owning adjustments.
- Preparing and submitting statutory financial statements and tax returns, including VAT.
- Coordinating with external auditors and managing annual statutory audits and tax inspections.
- Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring strong financial controls.
- Acting as control owner for SOX and regulatory compliance, ensuring processes are effective.
- Monitoring changes in local regulations and implementing updates into business processes.
- Partnering with CoE teams, controllers, and tax experts to improve processes and share knowledge.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or tax, ideally in a multinational environment.
- Strong experience in statutory reporting and tax compliance.
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or Tax, along with a professional accounting qualification.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, with exposure to local GAAP and US GAAP as a plus.
- Very good knowledge of accounting systems and tools.
- Fluency in English and Polish, both written and spoken.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Leadership capability and the ability to guide and support a team.
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on continuous improvement.
