Job Description

Powering the agentic revolution in travel. Sabre is an AI-native technology leader, backed by one of the world’s largest travel data clouds. Built on an open, modular, cloud-native architecture, Sabre serves as the backbone for both established leaders and bold, new disruptors, guiding them to the next age of travel retailing through intelligent, connected, and personalized experiences. With AI at its core and operating at unparalleled scale, Sabre transforms insights into innovation, empowering airlines, hoteliers, agencies and other partners to retail, distribute and fulfill travel worldwide.

Sabre is looking for a Lead Product Owner who will be responsible for the product vision, investment, planning, and execution to scale and evolve our Sabre Model Context Protocol (MCP) server.

The Sabre MCP Server acts as an agentic middleware, enabling AI agents and Large Language Models (LLMs) to interact directly with the Sabre API portfolio. By connecting to this server, our partners' AI agents can access workflows and callable functions to autonomously search, book, and service travel content.

Our primary focus is evolving the product to meet rapidly changing AI standards, and expanding its footprint across advanced travel use cases.

In this role, you will drive commercial success, develop robust Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies to bring new capabilities and derivative software products to market, and champion seamless, secure, and token-efficient experiences for our customers. You will capture market needs, customer input, and usage data, translating those into user stories that support the company’s technical innovation and revenue goals. This role requires a blend of business acumen, intense technical curiosity, a big-picture vision, and the drive to scale an emerging AI platform into a widely adopted enterprise standard.

Role and Responsibilities

Strategic & Commercial Leadership:

  • Drive the product vision, strategy, and business requirements for scaling the Sabre MCP server and Agentic AI capabilities.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies to bring new AI-driven software products and features to market, driving developer adoption, partner engagement, and revenue growth.

  • Manage the product investment decisions, scope, roadmap, and priorities.

  • Understand and monitor the rapidly evolving competitive and market landscape for AI agent ecosystems, keeping pace with new protocol specifications, multi-agent architectures (like A2A), and B2B travel tech.

  • Act as the commercial champion for the MCP server, supporting sales engineering, delivery, and customer care teams in understanding how customers can scale autonomous travel workflows.

Product Execution & Roadmap Delivery:

  • Spearhead the continuous improvement of low-friction, self-service experiences for developers and AI integration partners connecting to the Sabre MCP server.

  • Expand travel use cases by managing critical enterprise integrations, enabling seamless connections between external AI agents and Sabre's Agentic ready APIs.

  • Define robust features that solve real world agentic challenges at scale

  • Ensure alignment to the broader technology strategy, bridging the gap between legacy travel infrastructure and modern, high-volume agentic tool calling.

Agile & Technical Execution:

  • Act as the primary subject-matter expert (SME) for the Sabre MCP server domain.

  • Work with and champion AI use within our Software delivery lifecycle

  • Analyze, triage, and troubleshoot maintenance and operational issues as the platform scales.

  • Conduct internal and external product demos as needed

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Core Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in a Product Owner or Product Manager role, ideally leading API platforms, middleware, developer ecosystems, or B2B SaaS.

  • Launch & Scale Focus: A proven track record and strong bias for bringing new software products to market, and subsequently scaling those platforms

  • AI Knowledge: You possess a strong, active understanding of AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and agentic workflows. Note: Formal, on-the-job experience building AI products is not strictly required but highly regarded, we care about your deep conceptual understanding of how AI agents consume external tools via MCP servers and how you have applied these in your product or side projects.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Insatiable Curiosity: Abundant curiosity to delve into unfamiliar technical areas (like evolving Model Context Protocol specs, JSON-RPC, LLM context windows, and AI security) and quickly become proficient.

  • Business and technology-oriented, possessing the ability to present compelling, technology-grounded solutions to complex business needs.

  • Strong ownership mindset for individual and team objectives, blending tactical execution with strategic thinking to ensure measurable results.

  • Excellent self-organization skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects.

  • Ability to successfully navigate a multi-stakeholder environment, balancing competing priorities across diverse internal teams, external enterprise customers, and developer partners.

  • Comfortable working in a team-oriented, highly collaborative, and geographically distributed environment.

  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.

  • Strong storyteller and story mapper, capable of clearly defining a product’s feature set and value proposition (e.g., articulating the value of agentic AI workflows to a traditional Travel Management Company).

Education & Industry Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience with Airline technology, Full-Service Carriers, Low-Cost Carriers, or Travel Agencies is preferred.

  • Knowledge of emerging trends in travel retailing, e-commerce, and the shift from traditional UIs to AI-driven, autonomous workflows.

  • Tech-savvy; able to engage effectively with Engineering architecture colleagues to drive sustainable technical solutions (understanding of APIs, enterprise software development, system integrations, and AI).
