Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Director of Inpatient AtlantiCare Pharmacy leads the pharmacy operations and execution of clinical pharmacy initiatives across the pharmacy service line while maintaining consistency and efficiency of pharmacy services and systems between the Mainland and City Inpatient Campuses, Cancer Centers and the LTACH departments.
The Senior Director also works closely with the Department Leadership team to ensure effective recruitment, scheduling, policy and procedures, competencies and employee relations within the Pharmacy Departments.
This position ensures standardization of systems and consistency of pharmacy service across the organization. Such systems include regulatory adherence, medication use monitoring, controlled dangerous substances surveillance, payroll, workflow, and performance improvement.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts, and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy required. Doctor of Pharmacy degree in pharmacy required. Master's Degree in a relevant area strongly preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Current license in the State of New Jersey as a Registered Pharmacist required.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 4 years Pharmacy Management Operations Experience required. Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills required. Excellent time management, organizational and team building skills required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Potential for exposure to blood borne pathogens along with infectious diseases. (Refers to Blood Bourne Pathogen requirement)

This position reports to department leadership and supervises incumbents as assigned.
