Principal Fab Technology Engineer

The Role: 

The Fab Technology Engineer (FTE) drives business growth in the semiconductor CMP polishing domain by identifying opportunities and securing customer wins through technical leadership. 

This role requires deep expertise in CMP technology, strong collaboration with internal R&D teams, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships. The FTE is responsible for understanding customer technical requirements, developing tailored solutions, and facilitating product evaluation and qualification.

顧客の技術要件を深く理解し、社内R&Dチームと連携して最適なソリューションを提供するとともに、強固な顧客関係を構築し、製品評価および認定の推進を担います。 

In this role you will: 

Business Development 

• Identify and pursue new opportunities in the CMP polishing market 

• Drive strategic initiatives such as Technical Engagement Meetings (TEM) to strengthen the company’s technical presence in Japan 

Customer Engagement 

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships 

• Understand customer technical and operational challenges 

• Deliver tailored, value-driven proposals 

Internal Collaboration 

• Partner with R&D, Process Development, and Business Units to translate customer needs into optimized solutions 

• Provide actionable feedback from customer evaluations to improve products 

Technical Proposal & Qualification 

• Develop and present comprehensive technical proposals 

• Lead and support on-site evaluations and product qualification to ensure seamless integration into customer processes 

Business Impact 

• Achieve customer qualifications and drive revenue growth

Traits we believe make a strong candidate: 

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:  

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or related field 

• Advanced degree is a plus 

Experience 

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on semiconductor industry experience 

• Strong expertise in CMP polishing (required) 

• Experience in the Japan semiconductor industry (required) 

Core Competencies 

• Strong technical knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes 

• Ability to lead technical discussions with customers 

• Excellent communication and presentation skills 

• Proven ability to work cross-functionally

• CMPの専門知識（必須）
