The Professional Development and Services team oversees and delivers high-quality, accessible curriculum and assessment focussed professional learning and development for educators.
The Programme Delivery Lead will coordinate the delivery of our programme of Professional Learning and Development to support implementation of the refreshed New Zealand Curriculum and Te Marautanga o Aotearoa, managing project scope, risks, schedule and costs.
You will be preparing reports for management regarding the status of projects that fall under this programme of work, ensuring clear lines of accountability and will work closely with the Principal Advisers – Professional Learning and Development and Lead Advisers – to deliver this programme of work.
In this role you will:
- Lead programme planning, ensuring alignment, sequencing, and management of dependencies across projects
- Define project scope, deliverables, and ensure successful delivery
- Manage risks and issues, including implementing mitigation and contingency plans
- Deliver clear, effective communication to stakeholders at all levels
- Build strong relationships and collaborate across teams to resolve issues and achieve outcomes
- Prepare governance reports, status updates, and maintain accurate documentation
Salary range: $100,296 - $121,490 per annum + kiwi saver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake
To be successful in this role you will have the following experience:
- Experience in a complex organisation experience developing, managing, and controlling project planning including risks, issues, changes, quality, timelines, costs, resources, interfaces and dependencies.
- Demonstrated experience in building relationships and partnerships to achieve shared outcomes.
- Experience in managing public sector processes, in particular the identification and management of other risks.
- Project Management certification such as MSP, PRINCE2, Agile preferred but not essential.
- The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.

The Curriculum Centre Group provides expertise and partnership for the New Zealand Curriculum, Te Marautanga o Aotearoa and Te Whāriki.
The Group leads the national curricula for Aotearoa New Zealand and associated systems and processes of assessment and aromatawai.
The Group designs, develops and provides curriculum services for teachers, kaiako, leaders, ākonga, their whānau and communities that reflect their identities, languages and cultures, bringing together curriculum, teaching expertise and evidence for the development, support and review of inclusive curricula, assessment and NCEA.
Our strengths are across te reo Māori, mātauranga Māori, disability, inclusive learning support and culturally relevant content so that Te Mahau supports learning that is inclusive for all ākonga.
