Job Description
The Digital Accessibility Specialist will play a key role in creating accessible and inclusive digital experiences across web and mobile products. Working closely with Accessibility Consultants, Designers, Researchers and Engineering teams, this role will contribute to accessibility reviews, design recommendations and the integration of accessibility best practices throughout the product lifecycle.
The role will support the identification of accessibility barriers, contribute to remediation efforts and help promote inclusive design practices across multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
Conduct accessibility reviews of digital products across web and mobile platforms.
Identify accessibility barriers and provide clear, actionable recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate with Designers, Engineers and Product teams to integrate accessibility requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
Support accessibility assessments and contribute to the documentation of findings and recommendations.
Review user journeys and interfaces from an accessibility perspective.
Translate accessibility requirements and standards into practical guidance for design and development teams.
Contribute to accessibility awareness and inclusive design practices across multidisciplinary teams.
Participate in client-facing discussions, workshops and presentations when required.
Support the continuous improvement of accessibility processes, methodologies and best practices.
Collaborate with researchers and designers to ensure accessibility considerations are incorporated into user-centred design activities.
Required Experience
Experience working with digital products across web and/or mobile platforms.
Familiarity with accessibility principles and inclusive design practices.
Understanding of accessibility standards and guidelines, including WCAG.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Design and Research.
Ability to analyse digital experiences and identify usability and accessibility improvements.
Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Ability to translate complex requirements into clear and actionable recommendations.
Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to problem solving.
Nice to Have
Experience conducting accessibility reviews, accessibility audits or accessibility-focused assessments.
Familiarity with assistive technologies such as screen readers and keyboard navigation.
Experience working on accessibility initiatives or accessibility-focused projects.
Experience conducting usability reviews, usability testing or UX research activities.
Familiarity with Figma and digital design workflows.
Experience working with component libraries or design systems.
Experience in fintech, financial services or other large-scale consumer-facing digital products.
Relevant accessibility certifications or training.
