We’re looking for our next Manager, Registered Plans. Could It Be You?
The Registered Plans Manager will lead, motivate, and inspire RSP staff members to ensure all processes are completed accurately and efficiently. In this role, they will work collaboratively within the supervisory and management groups to coordinate the activities of the RSP teams to successfully meet business needs.
While monitoring service quality where required to ensure issues are resolved efficiently and effectively, the Manager will also collect, interpret, and report on metrics.To ensure regulatory compliance, they will foster positive and productive relationships internally and with third-party service providers, working collaboratively with all parties to effectively resolve issues.
Additionally, they will lead projects and ensure they are completed on time and accurately, escalating issues and providing solutions where and when appropriate, while continuously improving processes and procedures where applicable.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Oversee and monitor all aspects of Registered plans including but not limited to RRSP, RIF, RESP, TFSA, LIF, LIRA, LRSP and FHSA
Be the subject-matter in Registered plans at Questrade Financial Group
Delegate process & procedure documentation, approve content
Ensure departmental procedures are complied with.
Develop and maintain strong and productive relationships with internal and external clients, liaise with external vendors as required
Collaborate with peers and employees and other department heads and administrators to identify and implement processing and procedural improvements
Assess training needs within the team and collaborate with the Manager, Corporate Training to design and deliver employee trainings
Communicate strategic objectives to team, and implement processes and procedures designed to meet identified objectives
Be an integral part of designing and implementing processes & procedures for any function within Registered plans to meet identified objectives
Schedule and conduct team meetings
Support the growth of the Brokerage Operations team and any special projects, including planning for staffing and work flow allocation
Focus on coaching and the growth of any direct reports
Encourage and be a driving force for innovation in the process improvement leveraging technologies
Develop, implement and maintain metrics, KPI’s, and productivity reports
Develop the business case to build/expand team as necessary
Regularly follow up and thoroughly review reconciliations
Work collaboratively with team keeping team leaders/supervisors/managers informed of developments.
Perform any other duties as required and/or assigned.

Have 7+ years of relevant work experience in the financial services industry
Have experience with RESP reporting
Have experience with processing and tax filing for all Registered plans
Have basic Accounting experience (as an asset)
Have knowledge of Google Workspace
Have proven analytical and reconciliation skills and experience
Have excellent communication skills
Have a positive attitude and strong client orientation
Have strong organizational and multitasking capabilities
Possess the ability to work confidentially, discretely and independently in a fast paced environment
Bring Canadian financial and/or brokerage knowledge
Hold completion of the CSC, CPH and related courses (as an asset)
Offer experience using Broadridge BPS (as a preference)
Value curiosity to learn and understand why and how
Demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively as a team player
Show strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Display proven people leadership skills
Maintain strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

Compensation Information:
Base salary range: $100,000 - $115,000
The final compensation package will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada). It includes a comprehensive benefits plan and a competitive incentive (bonus) program for Full-Time Permanent roles.
