Job Summary: The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) provides direct speech and language intervention services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). The SLPA implements treatment activities aligned to IEP goals and therapy plans, delivers individual and small-group sessions, and supports students' communication needs across school settings, including the use of AAC systems and devices as directed. The SLPA collects and maintains accurate student progress data, prepares therapy materials and visual supports, and completes required service logs and documentation in a timely manner. The SLPA collaborates with teachers and related service staff to reinforce communication strategies in daily routines and participates in team meetings and professional learning as assigned. All work is completed within the SLPA scope of practice, with the supervising SLP responsible for assessment, diagnosis, IEP development, and clinical decision-making.
