Job Description
The Director FP&A & Strategic Finance EMEA is a key member of the EMEA Finance Leadership Team, serves as trusted advisor to the Regional Finance Officer and EMEA Leadership Team and acts as a senior leader within the EMEA Finance organization.
The role is responsible for leading the regional Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and taking a key role in all Strategic Finance activities across EMEA. The position provides strategic financial leadership to drive profitable growth, optimize resource allocation, improve financial transparency, and strengthen decision-making across all countries within the region. This is a hands-on individual contributor role, requiring a proactive, can-do mindset and the ability to operate effectively in a lean team environment. The successful candidate combines deep financial expertise with commercial acumen, leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders in a complex, multinational matrix organization.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & CAPABILITIES
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead the EMEA annual budget, quarterly forecasting, mid-term planning, and monthly performance management reviews.
- Coordinate planning activities across countries to ensure alignment with regional and global strategic objectives.
- Develop robust financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Drive accountability for financial and operational performance across the region and monitor against targets, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
- Deliver meaningful insights on revenue, margins, operating expenses, profitability, cash flow, and key business drivers.
- Enhance transparency of financial performance and improve management reporting across the region by providing central reporting, dashboards and advanced analytics.
- Drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy, planning methodologies, and financial visibility including representing EMEA in global financial planning projects.
Strategic Finance
- Serve as trusted advisor to the Regional Finance Officer and EMEA Leadership Team to support profitable growth strategies.
- Support acquisitions, partnerships, business development initiatives, and strategic investments through financial modeling, fact-based financial analysis and business case development.
- Support the development of value propositions, pricing strategies, and commercial frameworks that maximize profitability.
- Oversee analysis of Gross-to-Net deductions, drive pricing, margin management, rebate governance, and commercial investment decisions.
- Present financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership in a clear and actionable manner
REQUIREMENTS NEEDED
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- Professional accounting/finance qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive Finance experience including at least 5 years in FP&A leadership roles within a multinational corporate environment.
- Results focused with the ability to work independently, take ownership and drive initiatives to meet targets and deadlines
- Position requires excellent analytical, communication and presentations skills along with being a team player with a strong customer focus and a result driven attitude
- Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders in a complex, matrixed, multinational organization.
- Ability to structure, manage, and coordinate complex cross-enterprise projects and processes with multiple stakeholders even in stressful situations
- Extensive experience with ERP systems (SAP FI/CO, SAP BW), planning platforms, and modern business intelligence tools (Power BI, SAC, or equivalent).
- Networked and abstract thinking skills, quick comprehension
- Strong analytical mindset with high financial, data, and digital literacy.
- Highly effective collaboration skills with a proactive, solution-oriented, and positive mindset.
- English fluent in spoken and written, any other language an advantage
